The Groom's Men

This is what you have all been waiting for... with their support, however true it may be, these brothers of mine will be there to stand by me on the big day:

Whitley - (right) Matt is probably my oldest friend, I mean he is young, but, we have been friends since middle school. He is one of the most honest and trustworthy people I have ever met and I respect him tremendously. Everyone loves Whitley because he so laid back and always has a great attitude. I think we will always be great friends and I am honored to have him as my best man.

Wilson - (left) If you haven't already met Matt, I'm sure you will before the reception is over. He has also been a long time friend, my off and on roommate, and my main source of entertainment over the years. As the singer of my band Trips Left (which lives on), he brought total confidence to the stage. And I'm not sure which he has more of, clothes or girlfriends. Matt can make anyone laugh and feel like a great friend.

Robert - Rob and I became friends in college and pretty much ran the place. A frequent philosopher and occasional fighter, he is just... really cool, I don't really know how else to say it. You can always find Rob studying the program at the tracks, and if you are ever going out for a night in Lex, you will have a blast for sure with Rob. Totally unpredictable and a bit unconventional, Rob's the man.

Kurt - Sometimes I would wonder if my brother and I could ever get along, but lately, we have been doing great. Once I gave Kurt a chance I found out why all my friends love him so much... because he is so funny and really cool about stuff. Kurt is the kind of guy that will just do what ever he feels like no matter what anyone else tells him. I wouldn't say that we are alike, but maybe more than I think.

Mitchell - Mitchell thinks he's about 20, so we get along great. My little brother is good at everything he does, like swimming, academics, hunting, music, work at home... it is really amazing. I think Mitch is the coolest 7th grader I know. I only wish that we got to hang out a little more.

Everyone should meet these guys because they outstanding people and I love them all.

The Gals

The Fam

Nicole (matron of honor): In the wide world of moms, Nicole falls in a category of her own: Supermom! Cute mom of 2, she's also my sister, closest friend and at the moment, housemate. Over the years I've reaped the benefits of watching all of the positive aspects of her life: Her and her husband's relationship, cooking instruction and gym buddy! I'm so thankful that she will stand next to me on my wedding day.

Lillie: Though she's only three, this little joy will also be walking down the aisle shortly. She's usually trying to keep up with her big brother or making sure everyone is having fun. You can always sense when Lils is around because she's happily dancing (or you catch a whiff of toots every once in a while). I don't think I'll ever meet a little girl who is as special to me as Lils.

The New Yorkers

Allison: Al wins the record for oldest friend. Al and I go wayyy back.. to when we were age 1 actually. Shes the only person whose grown up with me my whole life besides my family. Al is one of the most genuine people I know and one of the most hilarious. Through the years, we always joke how life's events happen at the same times for us. And six months ago, she got married too. There's not enough blog space to talk about Al. I just want everyone I know to meet her. I always think how everyone needs their own 'Al'.

Laura (aka Pics): Laura is my Italian New Yorker. If you needed a beach bud (or a glass of wine), you call Laura. Besides being smart and beautiful (and yes men, she's single), we share more inside jokes than anyone else I know. She's someone you can always tease -if you couldn't tell already. In all seriousness, Laura is so awesome because she's intuitive, observant and the type of friend that would do anything for you (and those friends come far and few). I dont think I tell her enough how great she is.

College Chicks

Sara: Being my college roommate and fashionista, you could usually find Sar at the library - not studying, but talking to everyone! She's someone everyone knows and loves. Sara was the initiator of Cash and I's even getting together. When I was questioning if we should even go out or not, Sar and I would lay in our dorm beds and she'd say, "Laur, you have to at least kiss him!" She was my fashion consultant when I didnt know what to wear and actually let me borrow her clothes for our first date. I'm so thankful for Sara and I admire her so much for her strength, generosity, and someone who has the cutest KY accent I know!

Emily (aka Em dawg in my Ny accent): Em and I met playing college soccer together and she was the only one who could make anyone laugh during sprints! She somehow always took a somewhat-funny situation and would make it hilarious. If you ever saw me crying on campus, it was probably because I just got done laughing so hard with Em. She's both down-to-earth and fun loving. And the people around her notice that and want to be around her. Hanging out with her was always a big relief from schoolwork because she has a great, laid back demeanor. Without Em, college wouldn't have been as 'playsurable'.
